Looking at the calm and gentle River Loup ("Wolf River"), it is hard to imagine the rocky terrain through which it has to pass to get to the sea. These spectacular mountain gorges are one of Provence's best-known natural attractions. The source of the Loup is in the foothills of the Alps, at an altitude of 1300 m.
